The Dangerous Book for Boy’s makes me absolutely envious of little boys everywhere. It discusses famous battles, codes and ciphers, and how to identify cloud formations. I’m jealous because this is exactly the sort of book that I would have loved to have as a little girl. Why don’t girls have a book that teaches them how to build a fort? (Luckily, I had older brothers pass down the knowledge. They weren’t thrilled when I added pink gingham curtains though.)
Despite my inner feminist’s objections, I love this book. In fact, I think I’ll pick up a copy for my ten year old brother (and he’ll get it after I take my time reading it).
